Sara Nicomedi is a visual storyteller who employs the medium to explore themes related to the current ecological crisis, the consequence of capitalism in our society and the gentrification of neighborhoods. She studied photography at Scuola Romana di Fotografia in Roma. Although based in London, Nicomedi regularly travels to cities overseas where she spends intense periods wandering the streets and capturing the quirks that are presented before her.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and photography festivals, her work has also been featured online including on The British Journal of Photography, Life Framer, Lens Culture, Photo Vogue.
She is part of the curator team at The London Street Photography Festival since 2018.
Sara Nicomedi is currently working on two personal projects: “I can’t swim! forever” and at the book “Piero likes red”.
